Can anyone tell me how to locate and replace the cabin (pollen) filter in my
    1994 Volvo (non-turbo) 850?

    Thanks,

    Chuck

Under the plastic in front of the windshield, om the right side. Take out
3 torx-screws and bend the plastic cover up.. There it should be :)

    Hi,
You may not find a cabin filter on your 94. I think they were added
about 96, although you can buy a kit and put one on the earlier models.
    Good luck, Brad

OK, thanks for the responses. I'll unscrew the cover and see what's there.

i have one fitted in my 96, went to local shop and they cost 3 times
as much as any other pollen filter, in the uk.

most pollen filterts are about £10.00, volvo are special order and
    cost £37.00

I opened the cover and there is a holder for a pollen filter but no filter.
I guess I'll order one on-line. They require a new adapter now because the
ones that are shown are rectangular. Thanks for the help.

You probably don't have a holder.. it's more of a plastic thingie to keep
water out and guide the air..
