    All,
I have ordered a new exhaust tip for my car as the existing one is
falling apart. It's original so I think it's time for replacement. I
see there is a single bolt on the bottom and I'm wondering if it's as
easy as removing this to get the old tip off. Things are pretty rusty
so it might be interesting... I appreciate all the help!

  2. Yes this single bolt secures it, however the steel exhaust will have rusted
inside the old chrome finisher which will be holding it fast.

You'll probably need to use an angle grinder and slide up the old finisher
without going so deep you cut into the steel pipe, so the finisher can be
    expanded to release its grip.
