Climate Control 'Creak' 2000 V70

Discussion in 'Volvo V70' started by Moores family, Oct 7, 2004.

  1. G'day folks
Her indoors is complaining about a continuous creaking from the dash of
our 2000 V70. Associated with the CC, as turning it off stops the
    noise. Any ideas?

While I'm here, anyone know how to get to the bulbs that illuminate the
    A/T selector on the console?

    Thanks
    JM

This is going to be no help to you whatsoever, but I get the self same
creaking noise in my S70. Haven't a clue what it is, but I find that if I
turn the radio right up, I can't hear it...

Greetings, my '97 V70 2.5 has the dual climate control, and from what I can
tell it is all the little motors in the back of the dash trying to adjust
the flaps to get the temp. just right. While they are not loud, at midnight
on the highway with the music off, you wonder will these things ever go to
bed. Turn off auto and it quietens it down.
This is just my humble opinion, and am ready to hear otherwise.

  5. G'day
The noise I have isn't just the quiet hum of busy elves, it's a cross
between a 'tick' and a 'creak' and quite audible above the normal road/
radio/ kids noises. As well as the instruction from Her Indoors I'm a
little concerned that one of the elves may have a dry bearing or ?? &
eventually he'll stop working when his arm falls off
