The biodegradable wiring harness.

I am having my own electrical issues. The link below has some good
info, but if anyone has a second opinion on my volvo I love to hear
from you.

I have an '89 240 dl with 230,000 on the odometer. This year was
s'posed to be past the biodegradable wiring harness years. Could
anything else be causing these problems?

-The radio shuts off when the driver door closes,
-Key in ignition bell goes off when interior light is turned on,
-No interior lights work.
-The brake lights don't work, but they are constently on when the
headlights are on
- The left turn signal make the all rear left side lights blink,
except for the turn signal
- was blowing the left side tailight fuse for a while
- The left rear printed circut board on the left side melted, and has
not happend again since I replaced it
-On occasion the headlights willl not turn off, despite the switch
being in the off position, and the car completely turned off.

The wiring harnes is what killed my '82 240 at 275k miles, and then I
didn't know enough to tackle the problem. can anyone give me some
pointers?
I will fix my car!!

It doesn't sound like a wiring harness problem to me. I would suspect the
switch behind the ignition key unit.
