Replaced the flame trap and holder in my brides 94 940, B230F and the
engine is now cycling from 1000 to 2000 rpm's and back on a 3 second
or so interval. Any hints, kinks or suggestions would be immensly
appreciated.

In deep trouble,
Joe

Did you connect the hoses wrong from anything? Or knock off a hose?

Maybe some gunk has gotten into the idle air control valve. Cleaning
that
may solve the problem.

A for what i t may be worth, turns out the fuel rail developed a pin
hole coincident with the flame trap replacement. Did not notice until
I went through the entire process of retracing my steps and noted a
drop or fuel on the end of the rail. Replaced the rail, injector seals
and all is ok in the household. Lol!!
