Much to my regret I am selling my 1958 PV 444 for parts, or, if you
are an experienced welder, for restoration. I just bought it three
months ago or so from a seller in Tennesse. It runs, has lots of good
parts including chrome, excellent seats, gauges, dash, badges, etc.
Most of the body is good but the floor pans are rotten. And,
according to a body shop here in town, the car has enough rust to the
unibody that paying for floorpan restoration would be way too
expensive as it would entire disassembling the car and welding in new
metal. Ironically the fenders all seem pretty good. Appears to be
completely original.
I paid $1500 for the car, and our local Volvo guru at Viking Motors (a
mechanic with 30 years experience) told me the car should be able to
fetch close to this due to all the parts. So... if anyone would like
a PV 444 let me know. I am in Charleston, SC.
Thanks,
Sean
