Does anyone know if an 89 240 and 740 8 valve 4 cylinder bosch
injected engine use the same injectors? Are they interchangable?

Yes they should be, so long as the cars are close to the same year. Later
cars used a 3 bar fuel pressure instead of 2.5 bar. Post the part numbers
from the injectors and I can look up the specs on them for you, or just try
them and see if it runs ok.
