How to remove power steering pulley?

Need to replace the pump and the new one doesn't have the pulley attached. There's a hex socket in the shaft, wondering if I use that to immobilize the shaft and then unscrew the pulley. But if so, is the pulley reverse threaded? Any guidance appreciated!
