kickdown cable on 240 auto tranny... repair or replace?

I think that's what this cable is called. It's the one that shares the pully
with the throttle cable on my '92 240. It's been sticking and while a little
oil seems to fix it, it may also just need to be replaced or other wise
repaired. Could a guy disconnect it at the tranny end, and flush it with
solvent, and then a light oil or something?

Jeff - After that cable moves in and out in its housing
a few million times, the smooth coating wears away and the cable binds
up. Get a new one. Richard W.
