In an earlier contribution to this discussion,
Have you tried CP Motors at Tamworth http://www.volvo.connectfree.co.uk/ ?

They have an on-line database of second-hand parts held, but I don't think
it's up to date - so it's best to ring up and ask.

    I agree ( 3 times too!).
Partsgateway have helped me on a number of occasions. I have used them for
various other makes of car on behalf of work colleagues/co-workers too.
It must be the only service which doesn't actually cost you anything to use.
There are no premium rate numbers to call, and they don't charge when they
send you text messages. The suppliers pay for all that, and they don't even
bump up their prices!! I have RJK Volvo, Lea Valley (both London), and Salvo
Group in Ilkeston (NR Nottingham) in my little red book. Some of these
places get searched by partsgateway, but you could try them direct if
    they're close to your location.
Although not much good for seats, I would also recommend Eurocarparts.co.uk
for some bits too. They sell branded electrical bits e.t.c. I usually stick
to genuine parts for anything mechanical, but I'm sure some of their brands
such an Monroe shock absorbers would be absolutely fine.
Then there's good old ebay. Completely over the top on prices for almost
everything, and out of the window on quality for everything else, but I sold
some V70 seats on there for about £30, so there are bargains to be had! I
must add that the heated part of the drivers seat had broken, but I found
out after that I could have bought a new element for £30!
    Cheers all.

    Pharmanaut decided to add:
    Try here:
    http://www.volvoparts-uk.co.uk/

If it's available S/H, he's got it or can get it for you...
