Low beams really low light

    The low beam headlights on my 2006 V50 don't put out enough light for me to be really comfortable while driving at night at higher speeds. The high beams are great, probably the best I've ever had. I just purchased the car, and i love it so far, But the headlight thing has me baffled. The low beams are the same as the daytime running lights, in American cars those lights run at a higher power level at night, the Volvo does not seem to do this. Has anyone else out there had this issue ? Or does my lighting system have an Issue ?
