Hello all, I need your help in appraising my Wagon as it was written off by
my insurance company after being damaged by another vehicle. My local
insurance company is not prone to paying "replacement value" for any
vehicles that are written off in an accident, but I intend to fight this
with your help

With 300K kilometres, my wagon had all the options including heated leather
seats, cruise control, aluminum rims and virtually no rust around the frame
and wheelwells. As a matter of fact, other than replacing a few relays, all
the electrical components worked. I was planning to replace the engine cover
and the left front fender due to some warpage, but that was about it. The
engine (B21) was in excellent mechanical condition however the turbo charger
was ready for replacement.

I need input from all on what "full replacement value" might be for a
vehicle such as this in your part of the world, and what tactic you might
use in negotiating with an insurance company such as mine which caters to
itself before the consumer, bastards!

Please HELP

You're going to definately be in need of its modern equivilant then. I would
say a nicely loaded V70 2.5T wagon would do the trick nicely. About the same
space, turbocharged engine, just like you had (maybe a touch more power
;-) ) about the same luxury feature, maybe will a little more refinement and
finess to them... but you know, time evolves all technology.

Hey John, how many horses did you couple up front to your 1885 car? ROFLMAO.

Cheers, Peter.

They don't need to know about the turbo... I would've given you $2000. for
the car if I thought the turbo was in good shape. maybe $2400 look on
ebay, auto sales sites , etc. for help in pricing it out..
