Its a 5 door wagon 87' sky blue and I need to replace the seat cover on the
drivers side, the fabric got ruined when I loaned the car to a friend,
does anyone know if you can just replace the seat cover (bottom portion)
with an OEM or do you have to get a whole new seat or am I SOL? Its the
    blue fabric stuff not leather.

    Thanks for your help!

I did it my self with a drop light on my 86 with a Blue interior. Don't ask
    how.

A local upolstery shop matched the fabric and replaced the panel for a good
    price.

You can get just the bottom seat cover either from Volvo or aftermarket.

I have been wondering about that too, with my 940 tan cloth interior. When
you say "from aftermarket" is there a list of good aftermarket places? I can
Google and find places that say they have them, but there must be better
places among them. Any personal experiences (good or bad) desired.

Also, if I get new seating surfaces, can I switch to leather just as easily?
