Hi,

In the past I have been reading this group "alt.autos.volvo" on the
USENET news server of my employer. Now I'm changing jobs and that
server is no longer available to me.

I don't see the group alt.autos.volvo on Google groups either, so
where do I go to read the group?

What servers do you use? (And maybe what newsreader software do you
use; I use Forte Free Agent.)

Thanks,

Wolfgang,

I use News.Individual.Net for this and many other NGs. It's free - but you
have to register before you can use it - which takes about a day.

I'm using Outlook Express with the free 3rd party plug-in "QuoteFix" - which
makes OE much more NG-friendly.

alt.autos.volvo is on Google groups here:

http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&group=alt.autos.volvo

Possibly you confused the alt.auto hierarchy with alt.autos.

However, much easier to use a decent news reader with a decent news
server.

Many people around the world recommend the server based at Berlin
University. It's free, text only, but may take a few days to register.
Find it at

http://news.individual.net/

I've been using Free Agent for years. Perfectly adequate news reader
that does all I want.
