Just bought a 2013 S60 T5. After parking and turning off engine there is sometimes a high pitch tone that seems to come from front of car. Don't hear it inside of car. Took it back to dealer and of course it didn't do it there. One thought. Could this come from parking assist that uses ultrasound? Although that shouldn't be on. I had a courtesy car that did same thing.

The answer from Volvo customer care is that this is caused by an A/C solenoid and occurs when you open the door even after the car has been sitting. They say that this is not a problem, just the way it works, and that there is no fix needed. Really?
