My 245 (1992 B200F) has a oillight that begins to shine when the engine is
hot and the engine runs slow. There are no weird sounds. The oilpressure is
less than 2,5 bar at 2000 rpm. Where should I look to solve this??

Anyone heard of a bad oilpump??

Yes, and worn bearings as well.

1) check oil level and replace oil and filter
2) replace the pressure sensor (they do go bad)
3) the oil pressure relief valve (if the car is so equipped) might be
leaking a bit.
4) Idle speed might be a little low
5) have a mechanic put an accurate test gauge on teh engine to be sure

Stephan,

My 740 started doing so at arround 350K km's. It kept on doing it untill it
retired at 850K+ km's (two months ago). Regularly check the oil level. If
there will be a problem, your oil-light will come on much more "surely" than
the ussual on-off hessitating blinking it does.
