O
Often Intrigued
Greetings from Australia
What would regular servicing cost for a 1997 s70 20 V version that is
making its way to 110, 000 kays? Assuming that it has been looked
after previously and currently has a clean bill of health? Obviously
some services will be more costly than others due to replacing of
timing belts, filters and the like, but what sort of ball park would I
be looking at if I was to drive 20,000 a year?
Are these FWD jobbies going to be as reliable as the RWD? Are things
like rotors and pads going to keep me poor? Is there much more to be
considered in the servicing than the standard Aussie equiv? Do the
autos need to be tickled with St Johns Wort or massaged with silk to
disuade hunting / surging or otherwise being obnoxious?
Do 5 cylinder motors have any strange requirements (like the
sacrificing of Black chickens) to keep them happy? As only ever
owning vehicles with 4, 6 and 8 cylinders this is not something I
claim to be conversant with.
Cheers
