placement lamp failure

I have a 2000 S80 and my message center says that I have a "placement lamp
failure". I've looked at all of the lights on the car and can't find what
the message is referring to. Any thoughts??

I have the same problem but after driving a few more miles it corrects
itself. Then after a few days have past it will come on again. Probably a
loose ground connection somewhere.

Thanks, mine behaves the same way. By the way, I have two license lights in
the trunk lid which go out periodically. If I tap on the lid, they come on.
This may be a hint.

Have you taken the car to the dealer? It could be one of those dreaded computer
downloads needed to correct your car.
