OK I just had a weird problem with my 1998 Volvo S70. I got in the car
and put the key in, turned it over but the engine didn't start. I don't
think the battery is dead since the dash lights up, stereo turns on,
etc. But, my clock reset itself to 12, so i'm thinking it could maybe
be a fuse or something? Also, I don't know if this is anything, but do
the digital dash stats usually stay on when the car is off? I can see
the mileage even without the key in the ignition, those are visible,
and the light on the gear shifter is on, I don't know if this is
related, or just normal behavior. Anyone have any ideas?

The mileage is visible on my 98s with the key off/out. The clock
resetting itself seems to indicate a voltage problem, try a boost.

Replace tt with t (twice!) and remove parentheses to email me directly.
(But I check the newsgroup more often than this email address.)
