Hi!, I bought three months ago an 850GLT, but the radio is asking over
and over again for a code. The last owner is not willing to give me the
code. Where can I got it?

Beam wipers: the right hand side one doesn´t work any good and time to
time stay fixed in vertical position. Sugestions?

    Best regards

Volvo dealer can look it up with the VIN. I'm puzzled and mildly
concerned that the original owner will not give up the code. Is it
    possible the radio was stolen?
I'm not sure I understand the problem. And to be sure we are talking
about the same thing, are you asking about thw wipers that clean the
    headlights?

When the wipers are used does the wiper move? If it moves does it move
across the surface or partly. When the wipers are turned off do they
    return to the parked position?

The dealer will give you your radio code for free if you just give
    them the VIN.

Have no idea about the beam wipers.

    Hi:

The old owner lost this car because of no paymento to the dealer!,
that´s why is not willed to help.

That´s right, I´m speaking about the wippers that clean the
headlights. The left one turns very well on the whole path, but the
right side one sometimes moves and some others no, and usually when
stops working is in the upper porint of the path (you can side one end
from the driver sit!). When this happens, you can´t move it any way (I
bet that if I force this piece a little more, will broke the arm)

    Best regards

I don't know if Costa Rican roads are particularly muddy or something
but I've found that those headlamp wipers are largely a gimmick. I've
disconnected mine completely (you'll find a plug leading to each one
under the hood at the back of each headlamp) and have no problem with
visibility. If you do have lots of mud then those wipers would
probably end up scratching your lenses up from trapped grit.

Also, I know it's a long shot but the code for my 850 GLT radio is
    1551, give it a try!

    Good luck,

They are at best a way to get you to buy more wiper refills. Volvo
finally dropped them in favor of just using a nozzle to spray fluid on
the glass. I think that is a better solution...maybe....

    Many thanks.
Costa Rica´s roads are very very muddy, but I´ll do as you did, I´m
    sure this is a headteache.
Finally I went to the dealer, the gave me the code and I told them that
is not usual in other countries to ask for US$20, They gave it for free
    this time!!

The radio code is different, 4454, but is funny to see that in both
cases the used just 2 different numbers.

    Best regards
