Started my 2.0T S60 this evening (2002 auto), but it ran rough and died
straight away, then no start. Its trying to catch but won't run. I noticed
the brake pedal was very hard as the engine fired initially - much harder
than normal, but I had noticed this getting worse over the last few days,
although the engine has been fine. I'm thinking this sounds like a vacuum
leak between engine and servo, but I'd welcome opinions. I'll look in the
morning, but has anyone experienced this, or are there any stock faults that
anyone is aware of? Mileage is just past 50,000, so I hope this isn't
    pre-programmed obsolescence :)

    Cheers

I doubt that the brake servo problem is causing your no start. But the
brake booster (servo) is a very common failure on all P2 cars. You
could try to disconnect (and plug) the big hose to the booster and see
    if it starts.

Replace tt with t (twice!) and remove parentheses to email me directly.
(But I check the newsgroup more often than this email address.)
