On the passenger side, I've broken my 2nd set of spring seats in less than
70K miles, with this last one lasting less than 10k miles! I have had
Bilsteins on them since 2000, and the ride is rough, but would a rough
ride really cause a spring seat to die that fast?
My car has had its fair share of problems on the front passenger side ...
replaced a wheel hub, cv boot replaced, sway bar end link replacement soon
(suggested by a mechanic). Could there be some other underlying issue that
is causing my problems, ie like the Bilsteins themselves or the
installation? How would I know?
Before I go and replace the spring seats, I'm wondering if I'd be better
off just going with the OEM Boge. I would like a softer ride.
Last question ... do you think I could sell the Bilsteins? They do have a
lifetime warranty ...
Thanks,
Mike
