Does anyone know the procedure to replace the headlamp assy on a 2000 S80?
I bought a used one on eBay & don't know how to change it out.

    Thanks,
    Mike

  2. 1st of all, get your check book ready....i suspect this is one of the
volvo's where you need to remove the front bumber to gain acess to
swap out the headlight assy...is it the whole assy, or just the bulb?

    big difference in the s80...

I have a 2000 S40 and tried to replace the assy myself. To make a long
story short, the front bumper had to come off (at least part way). If your
front bumper covers the lower lip of the headlight assy you are in the same
boat. Four bolts hold the assy. in, but it has to come straight out...there
is no wiggle room. A local body shop did it for me for about $80. Shop
    around.

Yeah, the front bumper/fascia have to come off. Takes about 2 hours at the
    dealer.
    Been there, done that.
    Sigh.
