In attempting to remove the tranny oil pan to address a stripped drain
bolt, I ended up with three pieces - the pan, with the bolt still
stubbornly in place; the fill tube; and the female piece that the fill
tube goes into, which broke off the pan when I tried to pull the fill
tube (to drain the fluid, since the drain bolt wasn't coming). The
drain tube flare fitting threads are totally trashed on both pieces,
which was why it was so hard to remove.

*sigh* someone before me was hard on this tranny.

so, I'm in desparate need of a new oil pan and fill tube. I'm in
Hawaii, out in the boonies, and there's not much of a volvo junkyard
scene here. Can anyone recommend a likely junkyard that's reasonably
priced and will do mail-order business with me?

Thanks in advance,

Elijah

The AW70 series trans was also used in Toyotas and some other Japaneses auto
about the same years as in the Volvos. Might be an easier (maybe) and a lot
faster/cheaper than mainland to the island shipping.
