Anyone have a Grant 6 hole steering wheel adapter for a '73 ES they'd
    like to get rid of?

I'm in need of one rather quickly

Both..it's white with beige interior, and than F^&*ing VR6 is a royal
    PITA to work on.

  4. ron...thats a drag to here...i guess i will stick to the
used mid 90's 940 "plan"...does vw still use a lot
of plastic parts in the interior? what about fastners, rattles
and the such...after, say 100,000 miles?...

    the 850 is a nice volvo...is it a turbo?

I really like the 850 better all ways around. The Passat does have a
lot of plastic, but it does seem to hold up better than Volvo's
plastic...and rattles are minimal...but all said, I can work on the
850, and just despise working on the poorly-designed-for-maintenance
VW. The 850 is not a turbo, and is hardly quick, but much more
reliable and comfortable. It has quirky ergonomics, and some
functions, like the windshield wipers, work opposite of VW's which can
be interesting at times. Parts for the 850 are more reasonable too.

  6. How is your 1800 ES. I about to order one (1966) from a guy in Florida.
I lost the Ebay bid, but he is willing to sell direct.

Well, I drove it 10' today...no 20'...maybe nothing. I went out of the
    garage and back in!

The car is under restoration. I bought someone's disassembled project,
plus another disassembled car, plus a bunch of non-Volvo parts, and am
    slowly rebuilding the thing.

Currently, it has new paint, I just started putting the glass back in
today, and soon, the interior and trim go on..then I can see how it
    drives.
