Is there supposed to be some sort of gasket around the manual choke thing on
a 175CD carb, I'm getting some minor fuel seepage from the choke
disc/housing...

IIRC there was a red cardboard gasket there. Haven't seen one in years.

Last time I say one, it was green. Maybe the switch to asbestos free?
There is an inexpensive kit for resealing the whole choke mechanism
available from the dealer.

Have you checked the rubber diaphragm under the domed top (four screws keep it
on IIRC)?
