Hi I wonder if any one can help me I have a problem with my volvo v40
1997 if you arm the alarm with the remote the alarm goes of say 3 secs
after you have locked and armed, I think I have traced the problem to
the sensor under the bonnet maybe? As, if you pull the catch so the
bonnet is unlocked but not yet up then lock the car with remote the
alarm so its armed, but soon as you go to push the bonnet shut it goes
off. Hope some body out there can help as i have to just lock with the
key so it is not alarmed! ok thanks in advance Tia Maria.

The sensor is integrated in the bonnet locking mechanism.
Might just be dirt and grease that gives bad electrical connection.
