V40 Traction Control

Discussion in 'Volvo V40' started by Frank Enkelmann, Feb 22, 2005.

  1. In case of wheel spin on my 1998 V40 T4 it turns out that only the orange
coloured triangular warning light in the dash board lights up,and the engine
management reduces the power output a little. But it is never enough to
    seriously reduce the wheel spin.

=> Is there something wrong with the traction control (DSP), or does the V40
    T4 just have an diff-lock instead of a full-blown traction control ?

Is there anyone who knows how the traction control on a V40 T4 is supposed
    to react ?
