My V70 failed its MOT this week
One matter which came up is uneven tyre wear on the rear wheels leading to ovality. The car tester recommends immediate replacement of the tyres even though there is still 5m of tread. I have been told that it is a known problem with this model. If the car is driven lightly loaded the rear wheels are apt to spin and cause uneven tyre wear resulting in ovality so tyres have to be replaced more frequently.
Has anyone else out there encountered similar problems?
Are there any solutions apart from getting rid of the car?
