visor won't go up - what to do?

The visor on the drivers side of my C70 won't stay in the up position.
I'm afraid to change the visor out with the one on the passenger side
due to the airbag that may or may not be inside of it. There doesn't
appear to be any mechanical thing I can adjust except 2 screws that
look like it would detach it. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I've never heard of an airbag inside a visor, I would think it would be
obvious if there was one, airbag inflators are fairly bulky and have a
wiring harness going to them.

I had this problem with my 240 and found a little squirt of silicone
caulk to be sufficient to stiffen it up, a bit of glue would probably do
too, but in either case you have to be careful to get it only down in
the hole where the pivoting rod goes or it'll make a mess all over.

Same problem with our '97 850 wagon. I stretched a short bungee cord from
the driver's overhead grab handle to the rear-view mirror mounting.
Ugly............ but it works: Pull the bungee, visor comes down, and it
doesn't risk damage to the roof liner.

If you can't get the clasp to keep it up, try self sticking Velcro pads.
You'll only see it when the visor is down and the adhesive can be removed
later.
