My Volvo 850GLT 2.5 20V presents me with a trouble maybe one of you can help
    me solve...

Every time I take a rather sharp right hand turn while braking at the same
time, the brake pedal starts to go up and down a little (one can compare it
to the ABS when braking hard on wet surfaces, but then in a less rythmic
way), while I hear a grinding also ryhtmic noise coming from somewhere next
    to the right front wheel.

Car just passed the mandatory technical control without any problems.

    Anyone any idea?

    Regards

I'd say the pads are worn, not enough to fail whatever test that is, but
enough to catch a fraction ie. they are not sliding in and out as they
should. New pads and a clean up of the calipers and guides (both sides)
should allow the unit to "float" enough to stop the pulsing. I find cleaning
rust and brake dust from the caliper where the pads engage and using
copperslip in the same place does the trick. Also if the brakes on the 850
use guide pins, make sure they are not worn ie. the pins have a straight
profile along the length and they are clean too.
