Volvo S40 windows misting up.

    I wonder if anyone has experienced this problem and could offer some
    advice - basically, I have a 2000 S40 1.8 SE and just lately, I've found
    driving it quite irritating due to the windscreen misting up within minutes
    of me demisting it.

    I rarely if ever use the recirculating switch and pretty much always have
    the aircon turned on and ECC set to auto which I would have expected to take
    most of the moisture out of the incoming air.

    It *has* been wetter than usual here but I've not experienced this before
    and it's a little annoying. The car is due for a 80k service very soon so I
    will be getting the dealer to take a look but I wonder if it's a common
    problem etc?
