    Hi All;

    Was the 960 made with the smaller 2.3L 24V engine.
    If so is the car a lower spec than the 3L 24V version?

  2. Hi All;
    The only 24V engine around 2.4 L is the B6244FS which was only for Thailand.
    A 2.5 l engine, B6254FS was a possibility from 1995, both with manual and
    automatic transmission.

    In 1991 to 1994 you could get the 960 with 2.3 litres 4 cyl turbo engine.

  3. Ian the 960 had the option from 1994 ('95 Model Year, M registration letter)
    of the 2.5 Litre six-cylinder engine (same as 3 Litre but smaller) with
    either AW30-40 auto or M90 manual gearbox. It was available in same trim
    levels as the 3 Litre car, namely 960S, 960SE, 960GLE and 960CD. I have no
    information on the later cars or the S/V90s which were produced during
    1997/8 but they were very similar to the earlier cars.

    The 2.3 Litre turbo version of the 960 was only UK available for 1991 and
    1992 Model Years.

    All the best, Peter.

    Ah if only we got the manual transmissions over here, the 960 would be a
    *much* more apealing car.
