I parked my '95 850 wagon at about 2am last night and when I go to
start it now, I get nothing. My first thought was that I had left a
light on and run down the battery, but all of lights (interior,
exterior, console, etc) and the cd player are working fine. I'm now
thinking it might be a starter issue but I really don't know. If anyone
has any ideas for things I could try or ways I could figure out what's
wrong, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Many Thanks,
    Reid

I've had two Volvo OEM batteries fail suddenly.. Start, drive, park,
dead.. No warning at all, They didn't have enough voltage to even
attempt a start, but the lights still worked.

If you have a voltmeter, measure the battery. If not, turn on the
headlights, and try to run the windows up and down.. If the lights
don't dim, then the battery is probably OK.

Ignition switch failures are failrly common as well, Try cycling the
switch through it's full range several times. (except start)..

Do you have an automatic transmission? Is the gear selector making
    contact in 'park' or 'neutral'?

    cheers,
