1991 Buick Park Avenue- now that's a piece of junk!!! But hey wife
wanted a faster daily runner- window has leak that we can not seem to
stop? hard starting now after cold start and short use it takes several
tries of the starter to get engine to catch. Has new plugs, wires, 6
pack coil, probably hard for an average Technician to diagnose, and will
still charge for checking it out. Does anyone know a GM man who is the
ultimate trouble shooter in The Greater Toronto Area (Canada)
Wife does not want to drive the 87 DL anymore? Maybe I can get someone
to knock some sense in to her LOL If it was only that easy, she has an
image with people at work and that Buick seems to provide it, I guess. I
could care less what people think of my 88 245 DL wagon, even has three
different colours on three replaced body parts, LOL what a hoot.I can
start it na matter how cold? Hers will likely put me in the poor house.
Auh she had to take taxi to work today, wonder what the lurkers are
saying about her Buick now? What a double Hoot!

    Volvo rules!
    the Buick sucks!

What sort of "image" does an old Buick provide? Trailer trash? Ok so maybe
it's not quite old enough for that, but it doesn't exactly scream high
class. Hey it could be to your gain though, just explain that you're a Volvo
mechanic and don't know how to work on the Buick and let her take it to a
shop. Save the '87 DL for when your '88 finally rusts out or gets totalled,
and keep on rolling in a brick.

Hi. James the wife would get taken to the cleaners if allowed to take
her car somewhere other than who I know. And besides I since discovered
the trouble - the ICM $278.00cdn at my local CTC store (I work there) I
replaced it myself when all nosy techs were gone for the day. Auh they
lost out on the usual $100.00 plus becasue I can do it myself those guys
like to poke fun at me because I own 2 Volvos, they prefer I drive
those trailer trash cars you mentioned! They make a good living off all
these types of shitboxes. BTW acually the 87 had,had several past owners
and was accidented and nicely repaired but so many years later it's
rusting out pretty bad despite coating rust proofing yearly at Krown
Rust. The subframe is softening where it's appropriate to lift on our
hoists. Too gad though I spent time replacing heater blower that I now
suspect was not necessary. I will keep her and part out all useful items
and keep some items that'll fit the 88 245 DL. I wonder if AMM is same
    and car's computer?
Let me know if it is same will you?

    thanks,

    Dan
