Wiper hitting screen post

My rhd Volvo C70 has the driver side wiper hitting the windscreen post every time it sweeps upwards. It makes an awful clacking noise as it hits, is there anyway it can be adjusted?

Easy fix. Pop the cap off the base of the wiper arm, take the nut off, lift the arm off the splines, and put it back one spline lower. Run it a few sweeps before you tighten it all the way. If it still hits, check the linkage for a loose pivot.
