Hi all,

I'm looking to buy a used set of (4) 15" hubcaps for an 850 in/near Toronto,
ON Canada.

I've considered the VLV world "replicas"... but I'm not so sure of the
quality. Bought some from Canadian Tire (local auto parts store for non Cnd
resisdents), they wouldn't hold whatsoever!! Very loose fit, and yes, they
were 15"!! hmm...

Also, the VLV world replicas say they have stickers... am I supposed to
apply (and center) these things on myself? : from the site:
Hub caps, SET OF 4, with directional design, new replica , for 15 inch steel
wheels with VOLVO sticker to put on the center.

If you've got a nice extra/unwanted set and you're near Toronto, ON Canada,
please contact me at
myronx19 (at) hotmail.com

I've been fairly impressed with VLV world, except for two items I bought..
one steering rack boot (lasted 3 months, and tore around the bellows...
failed at a seam) and these DanBlok pads I bought... they did nothing but
make TONS of noise. I threw those out and got OE Volvo pads (which ended up
being quite inexpensive!) Anyone ever try their hubcaps?

Cheers

Hello M.R.S.:

If you don't find then in your area let me know as I do have a few
sources locally. I'm in Upstate NY so shipping would not be
prohibitive on an item that light.

I love Candadian Tire and only wish they would ship to my area. They
do have some winter items that are not available here.

As far as VLV World goes? Most unprofessional outfit I have EVER dealt
with and I will NEVER order anything from them again!!!!

Ordered a used rear wiper motor for my '93 wagon from them on October
8th.. Twenty days and many emails and unanswered phone calls later
they FINALLY responded--but only after my last phone call in which I
threatened legal action and a dispute with Discover.

They billed me a day or two after I ordered online, took twenty days
to finally get back to me to tell me it was "out of stock" and then
another three days to credit back my Discover account--and I still
have no verification other than an e-mail from them that they really
ACTUALLY did that.

I paid my last Discover bill in full as I do every month but have not
had time to review it yet. If a charge from them shows up I'll be even
angrier.

Ohhh..and get this. Used parts are shipped from the Montreal area--yet
they say it can take 2 to three weeks. I figured I'd get it a bit
sooner as they may have been referring to all of North America.

Fine, as I learned the hard way that if I order from IPD in Oregon UPS
is the bad way to have it shipped as it can take ten days.

Thing is, I can drive from my front door to downtown Montreal in 4 hrs
if I push it and roads are clear.

Hmmm..but the US Postal Service will get it here in 3 or 4 days for
less money.

So I ordered a remanufactured motor from Rock Auto
http://www.rockauto.com

Ordered right after I got the email from VLV saying out of stock.

Within an hour I got a mail from Rock Auto showing great detail about
my order and indicating they expected to ship the next day but that my
CC would not be charged until shipment. Got home after work the
following day and another mal from Rock Auto indicating product had
been shipped and they provided a FedEX tracking number. Rock had said
it might be 3 to 4 days..yet I had the product before I had expected
it.

Bottom line should be clear: VLV will never ever get a pence from me
or a recommendation.

Cheerio,

Doc
