My brake pedal started getting mushy so I replaced my front pads (rear are good) and the master cylinder now when I turn the key on a small motor that is in front of the battery and down (with a hose going to the booster) runs constantly even with the key off.
The brake pedal is very spongy and will go to the floor unless I give it a pump or two then it is firm but you must apply allot of pressure to it to get the brakes to apply properly.
    It's a 2005 s40 with non turbo 5 cylinder.
