2008 Volvo V70 grinding sound when engine cold?

My 190k mile Volvo 2008 V70, otherwise in very good shape and well maintained, has a new grind. While the car is cold, for about 10 miles, it grinds when decelerating. It also gets much louder in reverse. Could the transmission fluid be low? I cannot check transmission fluid on this car, it is sealed. Or something else? Thank you

Hello Colin, I have exactly the same problem with my V70 2008. Four mechanics were not able to fix the issue. Is there any progress?
