Can someone comment on removing/installing the rear cargo windows on
the 245 wagons? Do new seals need to be used?

Is there an online source of information for this?

Thanks.

Side windows: If they have the metal face trim, remove from groove in
rubber by carefully prying straight out.

Once trim ,if any, removed, have someone inside and outside. Inside person
starts in upper rear corner and pushes out on widow glass. Person on
outside uses stiff putty knife which they work over top of rubber, under the
metal lip and then inside to over the inner rubber lip.

Once putty knife in position accomplished, inside person moves forward and
pushes out on glass as outside person pulls rubber from top of glass. A
combination of pushing on glass and pulling on rubber will pop the top of
the glass outward then lift up ond off once clear.

Install. Place rubber around glass. Wrap a piece of small soft sash cord
longer than around the rubber gasket in the window glass groove with both
ends crossing at the bottom front corner.

Lube body lip and rubber groove with dish soap. Place bottom rubber groove
over body lip, the while outside person is pushing in at same point the sash
cord exits the groove inside, inside person pulls cord which pulls inner
rubber lip over body metal lip.

New Seals only if severly damaged. For small leaks or cracks and tears, use
a bit of Black RTV at those spots.
