The engine with the fuel injectors mounted in the head is a b21f engine and was equipped with KJet fuel injection. This injection system is mechanical, and relies on fuel pressure to open the injectors. The injectors have no electrical connections.

The engine with the fuel injectors mounted in the intake is most likely a b230f engine. This engine has Jetronic fuel injection. This injection system is computer controlled.

While either head will physically fit the engine block, they are not interchangeable. The fuel system associated with each engine would have to be interchanged, requiring rewiring the fuel systems electronics........not a easy job, and best not attempted by a "hobbyist" owner. It''s a tough job.

    Hope this helps
