97 850 Brake Light Bulbs

Discussion in 'Volvo 850' started by Chuck Fiedler, Jan 20, 2005.

  1. Does anyone else have problems with brake light bulbs in the 850
wagon? I seem to need a new brake light (it varies from side to side)
about every two months or so.

The official count is 343, but there was also a volunteer who lost his life
aiding in the initial rescue efforts. And I will never forget them as
    long as I live,
    nor should any American.

  3. Have you checked the voltage. The voltage regulator may be shot.

There were a couple years when the sockets were a problem and were not
heat sinking the bulbs properly and they would burn out too fast. Volvo
had a recall for this problem.
