The car would start, run for a couple of secs, then cut out. ECU gave a 1-2-1 code.

Disconnected the mass air flow, car would start and run, but obviously rough.

Replaced the mass air flow, and now the car runs fine. However, still shows 121 code,

and trying to cancel the code using the standard method does not clear the code, and

the check engine lite remains on.


Why will the ECU not clear, having replaced mass air flow, I should be in good shape, yes?
