    Hi,
I'm in the process of changing the handbrake shoes on my '96 850. While
doing this two (one either side) of the small clips which hold the shoes
in towards the backplate snapped (rusted through). These are riveted to
the backplate and, I'm informed by Volvo, they are not a separate part.
Has anybody any info/tips? I don't feel inclined to fork out for two new
back plates if it can be avoided. Handbrake is working fine but the shoes
are of course rubbing slightly on the inside of the drum.
