Is it ok to drive without the cooper washer on the drain plug for the engine oil?

I don't believe in dealship says. Toyota dealership here told customers
don't need to run-in their brand-new cars as their cars already have run-in
at the factory. As a car onwer, I rather do not take the risk. Dealership or
salesman are not neccessary to be an expert.

I change my 740 Turbo motor oil and filter every 5000k. The filter is cheap
so I change it every time. Change gearbox oil and drain coolant once a year.
Maybe it will be too frequent for someone but it is my car :) Ah .. I also
change the brass washer if i remembered. DON"T OVER-TIGHTEN any drain plug,
it hurts both your car and wallet.
