I recently purchased a 1986 Volvo 240 DL. It is in immaculate condition and showing 26000km on odometer and speedometer does not work.
Car stored for past fourteen years in a heated garage. By the looks of the pedals and interior I feel that there is no more than 50000km on her maybe even less.
My issue is I need to get it licenced and would like the odometer and speedo to work. Have replaced the disc inside drive motor but speedo needle when key is turned on tops out and stays there. Any ideas on repair. This is my fifth 240. Have also had a 940,745,740 and a V70. Like the older ones better.
