Andy

I have had trouble with alarms arising from keeping the fob in my
pocket.
This sometimes causes the button (s) to be operated and if for about three
seconds can cause the alarm to activate. Rather embarrassing if after folks
have gone to bed. It is worth checking the buttons for correct operation as
they can sometimes get stuck.

Thanks Mike - no this issue. The alarm goes off at completely random
times.
It has gone off 15 seconds after walking away from the car - with keys
in hand.
It tends to go off in the evening/early hours of the morning with the
keys sitting on my table.
Yes I'm loved by everyone at that time - because I have to get up and
close to the car to turn off the alarm - it doesn't seem to respond
from my bedroom to disarm only to arm!

Its a really random event - it can be weeks between it happening or 3
nights in a row.
I thought at first it might be the light on off sensors on the door -
reasoning these wear out.
I checked these out and things seemed fine for a while.

It would be good to know what sensor the alarm thought had triggered -
I was told to look at the flashing light it was a code.
Well I don't want it to go off at night and so am not arming it, I can
not force the fail, and haven't come back to the code.
Even if I did - I haven't seen any posts which tell me what the code
means.
regards Andy
