Dash gas mileage indicator lights not coming on

    I have a 1995 Volvo 850 Turbo Sedan with 147,000 miles. I do my own work when I can. I took the dash off and cluster several times changing out light bulbs and fixed the odometer (small wheel). I unplugged the gas mileage indicator on the cluster out. The small indicator that shows gas mileage, temp, etc. I believe I ruined it by taking the bulbs out and replacing them. The gas mileage indicator and everything works however, no lights at night. What is this part called so I can order another one or junk yard. I don't want the whole cluster since it will interfere with odometer and computer? Can I get suggestions?
