    An easy check is to wiggle the fuses. The metal corrodes and contact can
    come and go. I had numerous problems from no-start to accessories that
    would work and then not. After I replaced all of the fuses (not expensive),
    everything worked normally.

    You can also replace them with the sealed, steel ended fuses instead of
    the open tin or copper ones. They don't have the corrosion problem.

    sounds like my "learning from experience". had difficulties starting;
    mechanic fixed it by replacing the fuel pump relay. friend of mine had
    problems starting; mechanic fixed it by replacing the fuel pump relay.
    so, the next time i had trouble starting, i just went and bought a
    fuel pump relay and replaced it. well, when that didn't help, the
    mechanic fixed it by replacing the cracked distributor cap. which was
    easily visible, had i bothered to look. D'oh!

    DeOxit works wonders for these fuse panels as well.
